Behling Racing History
Hello, I’m Bill Behling, owner and manager of Behling Racing Equipment. The Behling Racing history started at my young age of 11 with my involvement in racing boats. At 18 I went on to sportsman, later progressing into modifieds and finally to USAC late models.
From 1963 to 1974 we raced with Whitey Gerken, A.J. Foyt, Jack Bowsher, Ernie Deer, Ramo Stot and Donny White and the rest of the factory teams from that era. We were the poor kids on the block, building our own cars in the garage at home. That was where we started Behling Racing Equipment in 1973.
All of those people at one time or another took to time to helped us and played an important part in the Behling Racing histoy . We appreciated the help and it has given me the philosophy of putting something back into the sport of auto racing. We try to help the beginner get started with proper equipment and set-up. We also help the pros with their specific problems.
I would like to thank my long time partner Kent Martin who had a severe stroke in 1997. Kent is no longer active in the business, but his help over the years is greatly appreciated and it helped get Behling Racing Equipment to the point it is at today.
I would like to thank all my customers for their business over the years. We have had the fortunate opportunity of serving some of the people who have made it to the top. Alan Kulwicki, Mark Martin, Ted Musgrave, the entire Sauter family, Brian Reffner, Jeremy Mayfield, Sterling Marlin, Jimmy Johnson, Robby Reiser and Matt Kenseth to name a few.
Also ,I would like to thank the customers who for all our years have helped make Behling Racing Equipment a success. I have some of the best employees in the racing industry. We work hard together in order to meet your needs and look forward to serving you for many years to come.
Thanks for 40 great years!
